COVID-19 Policy

Latest Update: 18/12/2021

With the latest information from the government being less than clear, new guidelines will be introduced for all those booking sessions for the next few weeks.

If you are unable to attend a session due to displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or having had a positive COVID-19 test in the last 14 days, you must notify immediately by email. The aim will be to then reschedule your session within 30 days of the original date. No additional deposits or payments will be required unless the session needs to be rebooked outside of that 30 day timeframe.

If another lockdown period is entered into, either nationally or locally, anything already paid will be held and will be valid against a new date as soon as the lockdown period is over. Deposit invoices not yet paid will be cancelled and your session will also be cancelled. Please get in touch to book a new session after lockdown is over

No refunds will be issues for payments already made.

Vaccines

Fordhouse Studio recommends and encourages you get your vaccines & boosters as soon as you are able to do so to ensure the safety of yourself and others around you. You will not be expected to show a vaccine card or other proof; your privacy and opinions will be respected.

Symptoms and Diagnosis

If you are showing ANY symptoms of COVID-19, no matter how mild, you should NOT attend a recording session. If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days, you should NOT attend a recording session. Those with symptoms or a diagnoses are expect show respect and to be honest about that status and be considerate and sensible when it comes to booking in and attending sessions. Failure to disclose this information could results in a large fine for you.

Maximum Numbers & Non-Band Members

From the 18/12/2021, there should be no more than SIX (6) people IN TOTAL on site at any given time. This does not includes your engineer. If you are large band, you will need to book two days and split the band members over the two days. For example, a seven piece band should send their drummer, bassist, guitarist, vocalist on Day One, and then their other guitarist, keys, vocalist and backing vocalist on Day Two. No non-band members should attend sessions; no photographers, no partners, no roadies. Producers and managers may be allowed to attend with prior agreement.

Masks

If you are vaccinated (not including the booster), it is at your discretion whether you want to wear a mask in the studio. If you are not vaccinated, you will be expected to wear a mask. Masks will be provided for those who do not have them at a cost of £1 per mask. 50% of this cost will be donated to local foodbank charities to help those in need.

Hand Sanitiser

Hand sanitiser is available on the fridge by the main door.

Food, Drink, and the Kitchenette Area

If you are bringing your own food and drink to the studio, please dispose of anything left over immediately in the bin provided.

We suggest that, where possible, you bring your own reusable mug for coffee and tea. If you don't own one, you can use the mugs at the studio but you MUST put these mugs in the designated clean-up area when you have finished so they can be thoroughly washed.

We will not be accepting cash payments until further notice. All remaining payments should be made by card on the day unless otherwise agreed advance.
